I’m 12, and I have a terrible cough. It started when I came out of bed and I felt a slight itch in the throat. I had no more choice but to cough. It bothered me for so long, and i tried lots of cough mixture, and even tried antibiotic but it couldn’t work. Now, I need someone to tell me how to heal this. I cannot stand this anymore.

You should call your doctor. I had something similar, and it turned out to be asthma – but not a bad enough case to need inhaler – I just take a pill once a day. But the only one who can help you is a DR.

You are probably having post nasal drip causing it. This is not fun but if you try mussinex? don’t know how to spell, it is an expectorant and should help break it up. is your chest tight? is anything coming out when you cough? might want to see the doctor. They can usually tell immediately if it is your sinus’. My doc tells me to take plain old Robitussin for the cough. it does seem to help some. good luck and hope you feel better soon.
Go to see a certified “Foot Zone Therapist” It will get rid of your cough and help you feel better.
It could be caused by a lot of things. If it’s a very deep cough, it might be bronchitis, in which case your doctor definitely needs to take care of that. If it’s a kind of itchy cough, it might be allergies… in which case you might want to see a doctor as well, but it will blow over as we get further into the season… probably. You can try an over-the-counter allergy med, but keep in mind that even the non-drowsy ones can make you loopy.
sounds like bronchitis. I get it and the only thing that even gets rid of it is a series of steroids from the doctor..i have had it for as long as 4 months at a shot.
Seneca (of ammonia ?). It’s horrible and it works. I had a cough for 6 weeks till i tried it. Ask your chemist. It’s cheap too.
I’m assuming that if you got an antibiotic that you’ve already seen the doctor. Ask your pharmacy (your mom will have to since you’re underage) if they can sell you 4oz of Tylenol with codien elixor. It’s available only by prescription…but some states allow you to sell 4oz of it without one. Codeine is the BEST thing to help with a cough.
If the pharmacy won’t let you purchase it, get Delsym over the counter. It’s with the other elixors and it comes in an orange and white box. This will last for 12 hours once you take it…
