I’m taking him to the Dr. tomorrow, but wondered if there’s anything in the meantime that could help. It’s a dry cough that’s worse at night. He gets into coughing fits that are nearly making him throw up. No fever, no sniffles, no body aches. Just a nasty cough. Any suggestions?
Is there any home remedy for cough in kids? Is there any herbs I can put in the vaporizer to help them sleep?

-Licorice root
-Fenugreek seeds
-Caraway Seeds
-Mint leaves
Can I make anything with that???
I don’t want to make any teas- unless is something I’m going to put inside the vaporizer, because my kids won’t drink any of it- and I’m having a hard time them drinking the honey with hot milk as it is. My 2 & 5 year olds for the last couple of days they had a fever, it went away & now they have coughs. I know about putting vapor rub under their feet with socks helps them with the cough, but that doesn’t last for long- just for about a few hours. I’m going to take them a hot shower, but I’m just dont want to keep using over the counter medice- I dont think any of that stuff is safe. Anyone with simple & great home remedies will help. I work at a callcenter and take many calls per day and there’s alot of scripts I have to read through. This nagging cough (from the flu I caught from my husband about a month ago) makes it almost impossible to work and be able to read all of my scripts. I’ve been told Ricolla cough drops are good. Does anyone else know of a sure remedy or solution that will quite a nagging cough for at least a couple of hours? I already have an appointment made to see a doctor, but it won’t be until July 9th so I really need something good to take in the meantime so that I can work. Please help.

My 20-month-old son is going through a cold. He is begining to feel better but he keeps on coughing at night, and it wakes him up. Do you know any safe home remedies for cough? I keep the humidifier running non-stop, and I use Vick’s baby rub on my son. My pediatrician told me not to worry about the cough right now (unless it gets really bad or lasts long). Is there anything to ease that dry nigh cough? Thank you.

Note: I am a diabetic. A trip to the doc is not exactly an option. Have been fighting the sinus and chest congestion since October. Lots of sinus drainage. Which in turn is what I think is making the cough and sore throat.

I’ve had acute bronchitis for over a week and the cough is killing me. I cannot sleep at night.
I am 9 months pregnant so I’m already sleeping propped up and that doesn’t make a difference.
Every night before bed I made some sort of “toddy” with hot water, lemon, honey, etc. and it does NOTHING. Nor does over the counter cough syrup.
I also do a hot steam treatment before bed. It feels great but it loosens everything up and makes me cough MORE.
Please help!
