I’m 12, and I have a terrible cough. It started when I came out of bed and I felt a slight itch in the throat. I had no more choice but to cough. It bothered me for so long, and i tried lots of cough mixture, and even tried antibiotic but it couldn’t work. Now, I need someone to tell me how to heal this. I cannot stand this anymore.

My mother is coughing for a month and a half. She already visited a doctor and he injected a medicine but it doesn’t cure her cough. She has a lot of very sticky phlegm that is very hard to release by only coughing. It makes her throat hurt a lot by doing that. I think the phlegm must be soften to release it easily.
What cough home remedies should I recommend for my mother or do you have any suggestions for this problem?

Desperately looking for a thickly cough / phlegm cure, been up all night hacking and can take no more! my doctor said just keep taking paracetamol for my sore throat.
please don’t tell me to make a hot honey and lemon drink, it doesn’t work and it’s vile!

I have tried drinking a lot of vitamin C, it helps the sore throat but the coughing won’t stop. This happens to me almost every year. This year, it’s so bad that when I choke on water I can’t breath when coughing and then tears stream out from my eyes. And when I find something funny, I start coughing for half a minute or so. Is this a throat problem that can be cured? But I don’t have any problems when talking or singing.
Any professional advice is graciously appreciated.
